Sian is a divorce and family solicitor with Woolley & Co, based in Bicester in Oxfordshire. Sian has a great deal of experience in all aspects of family law having practiced exclusively in family law since qualifying as a solicitor in 2006. She has experience acting for a wide variety of clients, from those on very modest incomes to high net worth individuals, and from the highly complex and contentious cases to the very amicable ones.
Sian is a Resolution trained mediator which gives her additional skills when it comes to helping couples who wish to resolve disputes as amicably and cost effectively as possible and who want to keep the best interests of their children at the forefront of any discussions.
“Very early in my career I found myself naturally drawn towards family law where I had direct contact with my clients and could make a positive difference to what is inevitably an emotional and stressful period in their lives.
I enjoy the fact that every case is different because every family is different with its own issues and priorities and there is no “one size fits all” solution to family law problems. I aim to understand what is important to my client and discuss with them all the options available to find practical and workable solutions for their case. I believe in being open and accurate about the likely costs involved and always try to present the options, pros and cons, in a clear and informed manner.
On a personal note, I have one little boy who has just started walking and two Bengal cats and therefore spend a great deal of my spare time moving breakable items into secure locations around the house and fitting drawer and cupboard locks.”
Sian qualified as a solicitor in September 2006 and worked for an Oxfordshire law firm before joining Woolley & Co in February 2015.
